I was astonished at how similar my mothers pose was here. In the first picture I am the birthday girl and she is holding my sister. In the second, my daughter is the birthday girl (also with a white ribbon in her hair!) and my mother is holding my sister's son in her arms. Cutting the cake was always the big event! LK

that was so sweet for you to mention that. I was very close to my Dad and he was very protective indeed and the kindest man I've ever known. It touched my heart to have someone (you) point that out about him in this picture! I'm going to cry! thank you so much, that made my day!
